It was a humble and proud Chris Baty who stepped up on stage at this year's AFTA gala dinner to accept the award for Best Small Bait & Tackle Store in Australia on behalf of all the team at Compleat Angler Melbourne.
We were quite surprised by the overwhelming response we had to a quick shout out on Facebook letting our customers know that nominations for the award were open.
Being in the top 5 of nominations meant we went through to the voting stage. However we weren't confident in taking out the award as we didn't get a chance to send an email out to our customers, instead relying solely on Facebook once again. That was enough however and in the most hotly contested and highly voted category we took the win.
So a huge Thank You to all that voted for our team. Without you we'd have never got there. Also a big Thank You needs to go to all the staff both past and of course present for making this store the great entity that it is. Lastly to the Compleat Angler Group, it would be impossible to do what we do without the support of all the stores and those that guide us.
