"Nice morning in the Rangitoto channel Saturday with the Yakamito spirit jigs.
First catches were good 1kg kahawai straight off narrowneck beach. Took these straight out to A-bouy (with a fur seal visitor) as livies.
The kahawai live bait was pitched in against the bouy and a nice 80cm kingy smashed it. Stan (15) brought it in 10 minutes later.
Spirits also caught a few pan snapper. Love the weight and feel of them fluttering down. (bin is a 75litre)"
